Web of terror:
Just four weeks before the carnage in Paris, a list of nearly 100 suspected Islamic militants – many with links to Syria – was passed to the mayor of the Molenbeek, the Brussels district that now stands at the heart of the web of terror linking the atrocities in France and Belgium.
Provided by Belgium’s security services, it included not only the names but also the addresses of men who were to become pivotal in the bloodshed and horror in Brussels and Paris.
For among those on the list of militants in Molenbeek and Schaerbeek, another district of Brussels that has emerged as a haven for terrorists, was failed Paris suicide bomber Salah Abdeslam, his brother Brahim, who blew himself up during the November 13 attacks that killed 130 in the French capital, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the ringleader in Paris and Najim Laachraoui, one of the Brussels airport bombers.
A list of 100 suspected terrorists was handed to Belgian authorities in the weeks before the Paris attacks yet little appears to have been done to track the key jihadi fanatics behind both atrocities
The 24-year-old jihadist, believed to have detonated one of the suicide devices at Brussels airport, has been revealed as both the Paris and Brussels bomb maker as well as an Islamic State recruiter. He too rented the safe houses in Belgium used by the bombers from both terror cells.
Disturbingly at the time the list was passed to her, Molenbeek’s mayor Françoise Schepmans clearly did not realise its significance, telling an interviewer: ‘What was I supposed to do about them? It is not my job to track possible terrorists. It is the responsibility of the federal police.’
It was one of many chances the beleaguered authorities and security services in Belgium had to monitor and penetrate the IS-inspired terror cell that bought death to the streets of two European capitals and exposed the alarming failings of anti-terror investigators.

Security officials say the many opportunities missed by Belgian authorities allowed an extraordinary terror network of suicide bombers, gunmen and bomb makers to stretch from Paris to Brussels operating from rented safe houses around both cities.
Detailed human and electronic surveillance on any one of the so called ‘Big Four’ – and several others on the list – would have presented the opportunity to, in the very least, disrupt the terrorists before they struck.
But Belgium – dubbed ‘Belgistan’ after supplying the highest per capita number of fighters to Syria of any European nation – has an intelligence agency of just 600 to monitor an estimated 520 IS jihadis.
To follow a single suspect around 24 hours a day without being detected, security agencies need crews of as many as 36 officers, so no round-the-clock surveillance or electronic monitoring took place.

Brussels, Mayor’s 1970’s multicultural experiment, Molenbeek, now epicentre of Islamic Terror in Europe
Molenbeek, one of the most densely populated areas of Belgium with high unemployment and a high Muslim population, many of the families originating in North Africa, had already been regularly linked to both local men and women travelling to Syria and to previous terror attacks.
Mehdi Nemouche, who gunned down four people during the attack on a Brussels Jewish museum, used a flat in the district as his base.
The guns used by Amedy Coulibaly and brothers Cherif and Said Kouachi came from Molenbeek while Ayoub el-Khazzani, who tried to attack a train, set off from there.
Despite this overwhelming connection to IS and fundamentalists, little appears to have been done to monitor those on the list of suspects.
The fingerprints, photographs and DNA of many of them were on file from their links to the area’s criminal underworld – several had convictions for petty crimes. But these details appear not to have been checked when the men were stopped in Europe after returning from fighting and training in Syria.
Last September, two months before Paris, both Laachraoui, a former Catholic schoolboy and electromechanics student, and Abdeslam were stopped as they made their way across Europe
Multiculturalism certainly isn’t the key. Nations that have opted for the soft-left view that all cultures have equal value are now wondering why they have no-go zones like Belgium’s Molenbeek, which in the week since the atrocities committed in Paris became shorthand for Islamist terrorism in Europe after Molenbeek residents were identified as the brains behind the slaughter.
Writing in the Belgian newspaper La Libre, Belgium Liberal senator Alain Destexhe, the former secretary-general of Doctors Without Borders, expressed his shock at the lawlessness he found.
“I was in shock there,” he wrote.
“Women covered with a burqa, in contradiction of Belgian law, walk around undisturbed next to policemen. Officials of the electricity and water companies don’t come to check the meters without bodyguards.”
He blamed his country’s socialists, those who “in their youth worshipped Stalin and ignored the gulags, and in their old age have fallen captive to the charms of the Muslim clerics”.
He also targeted former socialist mayor Philippe Moreaux, who stands accused of conducting a “social multicultural laboratory experiment” in the suburb during a period of major immigration from the 1970s that saw the north African population grow fourfold.
The suburb now has a population which is one-quarter Muslim, similar to that of metropolitan Brussels, but which has some neighbourhoods where some 80 per cent of the people are descendants of north Africa. Unemployment in Molenbeek is almost 30 per cent, compared with 8.5 per cent for the rest of Brussels.
Belgium’s Socialist Party relied on Muslim votes to hold power on the council and permitted Muslim residents to reject traditional Belgian culture.
The Belgian Ambassador to Australia has labelled Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s comments as “dangerous”, after he linked the European refugee crisis with the deadly Brussels terror attacks.
During a speech at the Lowy Institute yesterday, Mr Turnbull speculated the Islamic State (ISIL) is taking advantage of the crisis to sneak extremists into Europe.“The attacks in Brussels are an unfortunate reminder of how Islamist extremism appears to have reached a crisis point in Europe,” he said.
“Recent intelligence indicates ISIL is using the refugee crisis to send operatives into Europe.”
In response to the speech Belgium’s Ambassador to Australia, Jean-Luc Bodson, warned against linking the two problems.
“It’s dangerous because it’s precisely what (ISIL) wants – that we would make a confusion between terrorism and migrants and between terrorism and Islam,” he told ABC News.
Mr Bodson went on to say that it was his belief the terrorists behind the Brussels and Paris attacks were Europe born, not migrants.“(They) are European-raised and born.
Maybe from foreign origins, but they are Europeans.“So it has nothing to do with the refugee crisis and I think that is the main danger to assimilate that.”
No they are not and will never see themselves as European and they will never be European and that is the a act, the most important fact that puts the whole of Europe, America, Canada and Australia at serious risk right now.
Because the truth is that these people are first and foremost Muslim and Islamists, but they are quite happy to take advantage of the Political Ignorance and stupid naivety of Western Politicians and Bureaucrats who consider themselves all Superior and Sophisticated because they are being Progressive.
Oh so what is Mr Bodson really saying, and what are the long term implications for us all?
He is saying, that this particular act of terrorism cannot be blamed on the current Muslim migrant crisis, because these guys were born in Europe, its like saying that you cannot say a new shit stinks just because the smell is coming from one left there yesterday.
Because it is the increasing threat of the fracturing of Social and Cultural cohesion from mistakes made in accepting Muslim immigrants in the past that should be instructive to us all as to the potential murderous culture we are importing in increasing number in today.
First of all these terrorists were able to kill innocent people precisely because the Belgian and European political class, media, bureaucracy and security forces allowed them to move around Europe freely despite the clear signs that they were a very real threat.
Why were they able to move around Europe so freely, because the EU has become politically compromised from the top down, and appears incapable of comprehending the real and present danger of Islam, they are in denial precisely because they have to give political consideration of the large number of Muslim voters already ensconced within their electorates and know that these people have no allegiance to the culture or the Nations of Europe.

We have all been duped big time, none of our people were ever given a chance to vote on this issue of whether we wanted to allow Islamist immigration or not, for over 40 years we were continually told that because we had signed the UN refugee convention we had to import Islam.
That UN refugee convention was signed by our representatives in the context of a European war and Europen citizens, at no point were we informed it meant we were expected to absorb a mass migration of Islamists intent on destroying our Nations and our Culture.

Trump Shows Courage and Leadership on Islam
Donald Trump’s rhetorical excesses aside, he has a way of pushing us into important debates, particularly on immigration.
He has done it again with his bracing proposal to force “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”
I have no idea what Mr. Trump knows about either immigration law or Islam. But it should be obvious to any objective person that Muslim immigration to the West is a vexing challenge.
Some Muslims come to the United States to practice their religion peacefully, and assimilate into the Western tradition of tolerance of other people’s liberties, including religious liberty — a tradition alien to the theocratic societies in which they grew up.
Others come here to champion sharia, Islam’s authoritarian societal framework and legal code, resisting assimilation into our pluralistic society.
Since we want to both honor religious liberty and preserve the Constitution that enshrines and protects it, we have a dilemma.
The assumption that is central to this dilemma — the one that Trump has stumbled on and that Washington refuses to examine — is that Islam is merely a religion.
If that’s true, then it is likely that religious liberty will trump constitutional and national-security concerns.
How, after all, can a mere religion be a threat to a constitutional system dedicated to religious liberty? But Islam is no mere religion.
As understood by the mainstream of Muslim-majority countries that are the source of immigration to America and the West, Islam is a comprehensive ideological system that governs all human affairs, from political, economic, and military matters to interpersonal relations and even hygiene.
It is beyond dispute that Islam has religious tenets — the oneness of Allah, the belief that Mohammed is the final prophet, the obligation of ritual prayer.
Yet these make up only a fraction of what is overwhelmingly a political ideology.
Our constitutional principle of religious liberty is derived from the Western concept that the spiritual realm should be separate from civic and political life.
The concept flows from the New Testament injunction to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s.
Crucially, the interpretation of Islam that is mainstream in most Muslim-majority countries does not accept a division between mosque and state. In fact, to invoke “mosque” as the equivalent of “church” in referring to a division between spiritual and political life is itself a misleading projection of Western principles onto Islamic society.
A mosque is not merely a house of worship. It does not separate politics from religion any more than Islam as a whole does.
There is a reason why many of the fiery political protests that turn riotous in the Middle East occur on Fridays — the Muslim Sabbath, on which people pour out of the mosques with ears still burning from the imam’s sermon.

I think some of us have a right to be concerned and voice those legitimate concerns without the abuse that issues automatically from those who have never even taken the time or the interest to think through this issue which is the greatest moral and political challenge of our time.
Obama refers to medieval crusades in an attempt at moral equivalence, to evoke a sense of guilt in Americans over something that happened centuries ago, implying it some how justifies what the murder of innocent Christians and Jews at the hands of Muslims today.
Just on those Crusades, weren’t the Christians just taking back land the Islamists had taken off them by murderous violent force as part of a three hundred year continuous war where Muslims took over all the Christian and Jewish lands in the Middle East befor turning with murderous intent on Europe.

Obama by His Words and Actions has Ensured World will have Islamist Terrorist Problem’s into the Future.
Yet Obama seems set on letting them have nuclear weapons, and he is talking a load of bullshit to denigrate the one successful democratic culture in the region that could have used nuclear weapons at any time but has not.
One has to ask why Obama is such an apologist and advocate for Iran, Hamas and their fellow travellers in tyranny and terrorism, and so ready to desert and abandon a nation that has always been a close ally of the USA, a democratic nation full of people just like you and I.
As someone who is not religious, yet is not really anti religious either, but for whom individual freedom in your choice of any form of spiritual acknowledgement is paramount, I observe a basic flaw in the assumptions made by so may secular political and cultural observers and commentators.
I feel there is a urgent need to expose just how the current conventional wisdom driving Liberal Progressive Social Engineering democratic capitalist western Nations employs the ignorant and bigoted approach of atheist and anti religious activism in western democracy that is now exposing those very democratic freedoms and individual human rights vulnerable to threat.
There seem to be a few lone wolves, and for each one that turns up at a conference or rally, how many more are there in family and supporters who couldn’t make it, but sit at home willing them on?
This is happening here in our towns and the signs have been clear for well over a decade that we are heading towards a calamity for western democracy and social cohesion if we do not seriously start an honest and open discussion that at least recognises there is a looming problem and allows us to look at what is contributing to increasing risk.
The first step to solving any problem is to realise and admit that you have one, only then can you start to explore and examine possible solutions. Denial and ignorance may seem the easy choice for some who want to pretend their is no problem because it makes it easier for them today, but avoiding making the tough decisions will not serve us or our children and grandchildren well in the long term.
Don’t worry about global warming, climate change, or the Great Barrier Reef, what’s the point if your culture has been erased and any grandchildren who survive are subject to the sort of life we see Christians and Jews suffering in the Middle East and parts of Africa today.

Transcript of former prime minister Tony Abbott’s address to the Second Annual Margaret Thatcher Lecture in London on October 27, 2015.
I am both honoured and humbled to give this lecture in memory of Margaret Thatcher, who revived the “great” in Great Britain and whose leadership was the gold standard to which so many others have subsequently aspired.
But unlike you, we have at least solved one of the wicked problems now afflicting Europe: we have secured our own borders
Naturally, the safety and prosperity that exists almost uniquely in Western countries is an irresistible magnet. These blessings are not the accidents of history but the product of values painstakingly discerned and refined, and of practices carefully cultivated and reinforced over hundreds of years.
Implicitly or explicitly, the imperative to “love your neighbour as you love yourself” is at the heart of every Western polity. It expresses itself in laws protecting workers, in strong social security safety nets, and in the readiness to take in refugees. It’s what makes us decent and humane countries as well as prosperous ones, but – right now – this wholesome instinct is leading much of Europe into catastrophic error.
All countries that say “anyone who gets here can stay here” are now in peril, given the scale of the population movements that are starting to be seen. There are tens – perhaps hundreds – of millions of people, living in poverty and danger who might readily seek to enter a Western country if the opportunity is there.
Who could blame them? Yet no country or continent can open its borders to all comers without fundamentally weakening itself. This is the risk that the countries of Europe now run through misguided altruism.
On a somewhat smaller scale, Australia has faced the same predicament and overcome it. The first wave of illegal arrivals to Australia peaked at 4000 people a year, back in 2001, before the Howard government first stopped the boats: by processing illegal arrivals offshore; by denying them permanent residency; and in a handful of cases, by turning illegal immigrant boats back to Indonesia.
The second wave of illegal boat people was running at the rate of 50,000 a year – and rising fast – by July 2013, when the Rudd government belatedly reversed its opposition to offshore processing; and then my government started turning boats around, even using orange lifeboats when people smugglers deliberately scuttled their vessels.
It’s now 18 months since a single illegal boat has made it to Australia. The immigration detention centres have-all-but-closed; budget costs peaking at $4 billion a year have ended; and – best of all –there are no more deaths at sea. That’s why stopping the boats and restoring border security is the only truly compassionate thing to do.
Because Australia once more has secure borders and because it’s the Australian government rather than people smugglers that now controls our refugee intake, there was massive public support for my government’s decision, just last month, to resettle 12,000 members of persecuted minorities from the Syrian conflict – per capita, the biggest resettlement contribution that any country has made.
Now, while prime minister, I was loath to give public advice to other countries whose situations are different; but because people smuggling is a global problem, and because Australia is the only country that has successfully defeated it – twice, under conservative governments – our experience should be studied.
In Europe, as with Australia, people claiming asylum – invariably – have crossed not one border but many; and are no longer fleeing in fear but are contracting in hope with people smugglers. However desperate, almost by definition, they are economic migrants because they had already escaped persecution when they decided to move again.
Our moral obligation is to receive people fleeing for their lives. It’s not to provide permanent residency to anyone and everyone who would rather live in a prosperous Western country than their own. That’s why the countries of Europe, while absolutely obliged to support the countries neighbouring the Syrian conflict, are more-than-entitled to control their borders against those who are no longer fleeing a conflict but seeking a better life.
This means turning boats around, for people coming by sea. It means denying entry at the border, for people with no legal right to come; and it means establishing camps for people who currently have nowhere to go.
It will require some force; it will require massive logistics and expense; it will gnaw at our consciences – yet it is the only way to prevent a tide of humanity surging through Europe and quite possibly changing it forever.
We are rediscovering the hard way that justice tempered by mercy is an exacting ideal as too much mercy for some necessarily undermines justice for all.
The Australian experience proves that the only way to dissuade people seeking to come from afar is not to let them in. Working with other countries and with international agencies is important but the only way to stop people trying to gain entry is firmly and unambiguously to deny it – out of the moral duty to protect one’s own people and to stamp out people smuggling.
That’s why it’s a pity that the recent UN leaders’ week summit was solely about countering violent extremism – which everyone agrees involves working with Muslim communities – and not about dealing much more effectively with the caliphate that’s now the most potent inspiration for it.
Of course, the challenge of militant Islam needs more than a military solution – but people do have to be protected against potential genocide. Of course, you can’t arrest your way to social harmony –but home grown terrorism does need a strong security response. Of course, the overwhelming majority of Muslims don’t support terrorism – but many still think that death should be the punishment for apostasy. Of course, the true meaning of Islam is a matter for Muslims to resolve –but everyone has a duty to support and protect those decent, humane Muslims who accept cultural diversity.
Looking around the globe, it’s many years since problems have seemed so daunting and solutions less clear. Yet the worse the times and the higher the stakes, the less matters can be left in the too hard basket. More than ever, Western countries need the self-confidence to stand up for ourselves and for the universal decencies of mankind lest the world rapidly become a much worse place.
Like the countries of Europe, Australia struggles to come to terms with the local terrorism that Daesh has inspired. Like you, we are trying to contain Daesh from the air while waiting for a Syrian strategy to emerge. But unlike you, we have at least solved one of the wicked problems now afflicting Europe: we have secured our own borders.

Every individual and every generation have an ego and a need to feel they are special, it is too easy for the well spoken snake oil salesmen to stroke that ego and align their own vested interests with it.
True visionary leaders are rarely appreciated, their message of concern is too often derided and ignored for decade…s even as the signs of their ultimate provenance become obvious too many have identified with and too much money and ego has been invested in collective ignorance and conceit.
Europe and particularly the UK are only now realising a lesson they could and should easily have avoided.
Enoch Powell and his rivers of blood speech has been ignored, derided, insulted and demonised for 50 years, even as late as 2000-2004 when I lived in London the media and political class maintained their smug, conceited demonization of this intelligent, straight talking man, who only ever expressed his genuine concern for the future of the Nation and civilised peaceful culture that he loved, a culture he warned would be destroyed if multicultural immigration was allowed continue unchecked.
Both Enoch and Tony Abbott were genuine men, concerned for the wellbeing of their own people, and their concerns and their vision is now being borne out and they are completely vindicated, but what is absolutely clear is that the pubic is not getting the message, in fact the media and the political class seem drugged, high on denial, blindly leading us down a path to disaster, a path ironically being paved by Islam, Obama and the UN.
Its instructive to know, that there are people for whom their worst fear is that the average innocent hardworking, tax paying nonviolent white American, Aussie, Canadian or European would ever be allowed to hear the truth.
They are members of our own families, work colleagues and increasingly the younger generations who emotionally identify with what has recently been labelled a Progressive Political ideology.
Progressives dominate our media and have successfully infiltrated and dominate or education, government and political institutions, which are now used to endlessly monitor and sensor what we the majority are allowed to say, think and do, ensuring a Progressive Political Correct public discourse is imposed across the supposedly free and democratic world.
Worse still is the fact they the International Socialists who call themselves “Progressive” have infiltrated our community, our media, our bureaucracy and politics to such a point that they can effectively sensor us to protect the interests of Islamic Terrorists and the sensitivities of their supporters within our Muslim communities.
To the progressive mindset the real threat is not Islamic Terrorism, is not the senseless murder of innocent fellow members of their own community, is not the sense of tension and disharmony within our local and global populations.
No the progressives worst fear is that what they condescendingly view as the great unwashed unsophisticated majority of normal working people in the western democracies, that being you and I, might ever be heard, and worse that we along with common sense and what they brand conservatives might be right.
So we the people are the real enemy, we need to be controlled, we need to be re-educated, we cannot be exposed to any news that might encourage the idea that Progressive social engineering might be a total failure. That is what really scares and motivates the average progressive.
What is it that makes them hate the very society that gave them every opportunity, it seems the more they are given, the more they want to hate and destroy their own nest.
If you are so delusional as to fear your fellow non Muslim citizens, and imagine that they are such terrible people they cannot be trusted with the truth, you would rather identify with, be supportive of and complicit with a foreign enemy that is clearly organised and intent on destroying us and our culture.
Lets be honest, no more fucking around we need to clear the air and know who stands where, oh but that is Progressives are worried could happen, what they are more scared of than terrorists, that their own colleagues and friends might find out the truth.
So what do they think will happen if we are all free to speak our mind, everyone say what they really think and honestly believe.
Let us the people know just what it is that you think we might do, whatever it is, then wtf, shit it must be bad, if it is worse than having Islamists blowing up innocent people all around the world, undermining our cultural fabric and our sense of security, our ability to trust each other.
If you know something and are so certain that it is that important, then all the more reason we all need to know, so please do share, or spit it out if you prefer, be straight, put all the cards on the table, or is there a reason you can’t do that, would rather keep everyone guessing and enjoy playing some very dangerous game.
If you don’t want to listen to white non Muslims, at least take the time to listen to this women.

For those who are worried about us ignorant white bigots and how we might react, don’t worry I read her book when it first came out in 2007,
When all the facts are considered who in all objective reality is more likely to be a misguided ignorant bigot.
Genuine intellegent people in the west are demonised by the media and the lunatic progressive left when we speak the objective and obvious truth, often being labelled as racists or ignorant bigots
Interesting that you can always find an intelligent person with real knowledge of the relevent issue of contention who it is patently clear cannot be described as any of the above, yet clearly articulates the very same valid facts and concerns.
If you consider yourself part of the progressive political elite of our international community, then just explain why your comprehension of Islam and its impact on individuals is superior to hers, and why we should trust your judgement and progressive political multicultural dogma when we see our future and that of our children, Nation and culture are at risk.
While you consider that, just know there are many more serious and intelligent individuals, most of them women who having grown up within Islamic countries like Lebanon, Somalia and Syria express the same concerns about Islam.
So I invite anyone and everyone to educate themselves, it is not hard, just be open minded and interested enough in this serious issue to take some time and read what these women have written.
Then I invite you in once informed to in all honesty indicate which of them you consider to be an ignorant racist bigot.

So what is MULTICULTURALISM?
Two dominant different and seemingly inconsistent strategies have developed through different government policies and strategies.
The first focuses on interaction and communication between different cultures. Interactions of cultures provide opportunities for the cultural differences to communicate and interact to create multiculturalism; this approach is also often known as inter-culturalism
The second centres on diversity and cultural uniqueness which can sometimes result in intercultural competition.
Cultural isolation can protect the uniqueness of the local culture of a nation or area and also contribute to global cultural diversity. A common aspect of many policies following the second approach is that they avoid presenting any specific ethnic, religious, or cultural community values as central.
So the government without any explicit support from its existing population actually promotes, funds and enforces cultural diversity, recognising that separation or cultural isolation can protect the uniqueness of a culture, but may also create intercultural social tensions, whilst they actively avoid presenting any specific ethnic, religious or cultural community values as central.
In the process of this cultural competition, we see the total sidelining, denial and active devaluing and dismantling of the Anglo/European/Judaeo-Christian culture that actually worked hard and paid their taxes to build the very society and culture that everyone flocks here to take advantage of.
At the same time as it denies and relegates the central recognition of the successful Anglo/European/Judeo-Christian moral code and work ethic that built our society and our Nation.
While we the majority are told that we are ignorant and intolerant if we fail to appreciate the cultural sensitivities new cultural variations, the new arrivals are funded and encouraged to settle together in culturally supportive enclaves, where immersed in their own imported culture they can often live without ever speaking English, never engaging with work or the majority democratic non Muslim culture.
Where do the people who blindly support multiculturalism really think this stupid short sighted idealism is taking us in the next 20 years.
Multiculturalism in its recent UN Progressive strain, allows for the rampant and unchecked growth of alien mono-cultural enclaves structured and enforced by those who have supposedly fled in fear for the lives of themselves and their families from violent and failed religious-political states only to immediately embark on embedding the same cultural/religious disputes within our communities.
A society that remains in denial of the central and specific ethnic, religious or cultural community values that made it a success, that for confected political reasons elevates conflicting failed medieval cultural values to a moral equivalence, must eventually experience a total breakdown and confusion, leading to increasing alienation, isolation, division, resentment and social unrest.
That is exactly what those seeking to destroy Democratic Capitalism wanted, the International Socialists and Stalinists who today parade proudly as Social Progressives are implementing their plan exactly as intended.
The UN can go tell its mates in Africa and the Middle East that no we in the West are not buying the guilt trip tickets any more.
The UN and the countries and cultures that breed poverty and intolerance must be held accountable to their own people for the suffering.
Islamists society and politics has failed, the UN needs to recognise that and start doing something constructive about it.
Until such times we in the Democratic West must recognise the risk this failed creed and its attending medieval cultures present to us and our children’s future.

So what is Barak Obama up to?
So yesterday the Great Anthropogenic Global Warming lie represented the greatest security threat to the USA,
today this absolute Lunatic finds time to, wait for it,
“remind us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy”.

President Obama has continually asserted that Islam was “woven into the fabric” of the United States since its founding.
Obama claims that Muslims have made significant contributions to building of this nation. The claim is laughable to anyone who has studied US history.
Historian David Barton spoke to Glenn Beck and tore the president’s claims apart.
Barton found the first real contribution any Muslim made was in 1856 (80 years after the founding) when then Secretary of War Jefferson Davis hired one Muslim to help train camels in Arizona. Not exactly a resounding contribution, since the plan to fight Native Americans via camelback was soon dismissed.
But Muslims did have an influence on early America, and that influence was one of a foe. After winning its independence from England, American vessels no longer enjoyed British protection. France, dismayed that the US would not aid it in its war against England, also ceased protection of American ships. The result led to American vessels being raided and plundered by Muslim pirates from the Barbary Coast.
After agreeing to pay 10% of the new nations dismal GDP in exchange for passage, attacks continued. Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin were sent as representatives to mediate the problem. It was there that they discovered that the Islamic law the pirates followed made it their duty to attack non-Muslims.
“The ambassador answered us that [the right] was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise,” Jefferson wrote to Secretary of State John Jay, explaining peace was not possible.
Ben Franklin wrote of his experience: “Nor can the Plundering of Infidels be in that sacred Book (the Qur’an) forbidden, since it is well known from it, that God has given the World, and all that it contains, to his faithful Mussulmen, who are to enjoy it of Right as fast as they conquer it.”
John Adams, in his report to Jay, wrote of the Muslim prophet Muhammad, and called him a “military fanatic” who “denies that laws were made for him; he arrogates everything to himself by force of arms.”
By the time Jefferson became president the Barbary coast was extorting 25% of US GDP and attacks were still occurring. Jefferson wasted no time in signing a war powers request which launched the US’s entire naval fleet to wage war on the Barbary pirates. The US Marines were born. Jefferson saw the fleet off, ordering the US sailors to chase the pirates all the way to Tripoli, giving rise to the famed verse from the US Marines’ anthem.
President Obama is correct when he says that Muslims shaped this country, he is just being totally dishonest in what the nature of that contribution has been.
They provided the context and need for the US Marines and provided our first lesson in battling extremism:
It cannot be appeased.
Extremism must be routed out through force.
So what the hell is he on about?
