Obama Tries To Declassify Muslim Brotherhood Groups As Terrorist Organization, Defying FBI, DOJ and UAE
On Nov. 15th, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) placed 2 Islamic groups on its list of foreign terrorist organizations, naming them as front groups for the Muslim Brotherhood: the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and the Muslim American Society,(MAS).
On Dec. 22nd, Obama administration officials met with leaders of both these terrorist organizations to work together and strategize a counter effort on the decision by the UAE.
But Obama isn’t only defying the UAE with this pro-terrorist effort, he’s also defying the FBI and Dept. Of Justice prosecutors as well.
The FBI cut ties with CAIR after identifying them “not an appropriate liaison partner” after discovering their ties to Hamas, which the U.S. classifies as a terrorist organization.
Prosecutors in the DOJ implicated CAIR as conspiring to fundraise for Hamas in the Holy Land Foundation court case, which was the biggest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history.
Right out in plain daylight, Obama is working hard to forward the efforts of the Muslim Brotherhood and it’s affiliated terrorist organizations. Meanwhile, conservative Americans are being labelled as ‘domestic terrorists’. America has indeed been infiltrated and is being run by a weaker enemy…radical Islamic jihadists.
The FBI severed contacts with CAIR in 2009 as “not an appropriate liaison partner” for the bureau because of evidence linking the group and its founders to Hamas, which the U.S. lists as a terrorist organization.
Hamas runs Gaza and was founded as an offshoot of the jihadist organization the Muslim Brotherhood, based in Egypt.

“It’s interesting that the administration has parted ways with it’s own position and is now meeting with a U.S. court designated co-conspirator of terrorist financing,” observed Bachmann.
Federal prosecutors named CAIR an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial over a plot to fund Hamas. In November 2008, in the biggest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history, Holy Land Foundation members were convicted of sending millions of dollars to Hamas.
Justice Department prosecutors implicated CAIR and other prominent Islamic organizations in the U.S. in the conspiracy and said they had acted at the direction of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorism.

Furthermore, as WND reported in 2007, CAIR was a spinoff of the defunct Islamic Association for Palestine, launched by Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzook and former university professor Sami al-Arian, who pleaded guilty in 2006 to conspiracy to provide services to Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Several CAIR staffers have been convicted on terrorism-related charges and CAIR founder Omar Ahmad allegedly told a group of Muslims they are in America not to assimilate but to help assert Islam’s rule over the country.
Nonetheless, on Monday, State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke said, “The United States does not consider these U.S. organizations (CAIR and MAS) to be terrorist organizations” and had asked the UAE for more information on the decision.
When a reporter noted the head of CAIR has been a White House guest and frequently visits the State Department, Rathke claimed CAIR was just one of many “faith-based groups” which had met with U.S. government officials.

“They obviously feel that the heat is off and once again are meeting with unindicted co-conspirators,” said Bachmann.
The congresswoman said she had no doubt that CAIR was a front group for jihadis because of all the evidence cited in the bill she introduced calling on the Obama administration to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a foreign terrorist organization.
“CAIR is a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States, as is the Muslim Student Association, and they try to present a storefront view of moderate, mainstream Muslim thought when, in fact, they are just the opposite.”

How CAIR Describes itself:
“America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.”
However, CAIR is cited several times in the text of the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act as a Brotherhood-controlled entity.
“They (CAIR) tend to be the mask covering up violent jihad across the globe. They pretend to be the mouthpiece of moderation when, in fact, they are anything but,” said Bachmann.
For its part, CAIR described its terrorist designation by the UAE as “shocking and bizarre.”
Indeed, why would the UAE do such a thing when its own ambassador has praised CAIR in the past and the country has allowed the group to raise funds there?
Daniel Pipes, president of the Middle East Forum, suggests it has little to do with terrorism and a lot to do with UAE leaders seeking to protect their own skin.
He notes the fracturing of the Islamist movement in recent years includes a divide between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Persian Gulf monarchies, including the UAE.
Pipes said those monarchies now see a threat to their existence from the Muslim Brotherhood, “as they do Hamas and its progeny — including CAIR.”
Even though she is retiring from Congress, Bachmann’s bill to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization is still alive and had 20 co-sponsors, at last count. She believes someone else will lead the effort and the bill will make it to the president’s desk because of the ever-increasing threat from Islamic jihad to the U.S. and the world. If so, Obama is expected to veto the measure.
As WND has reported, the bill would not only add the Muslim Brotherhood and its U.S. subsidiaries to the U.S. list of foreign terrorist organizations, it would also crack down on anyone in America who provides material support or funding to the Brotherhood or its front groups. At the same time, the bill proposes denying visas to any Brotherhood members seeking to enter the U.S., while deporting any foreign nationals associated with the Brotherhood already living in the U.S.
Additionally, the bill states: “Any United States financial institution that knowingly has possession of or control over funds in which the Muslim Brotherhood or its affiliates, associated groups, or agents have an interest shall retain possession of or control over the funds and report the funds to the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the Department of the Treasury.”
In effect, the law would freeze Muslim Brotherhood assets and dry up funding and recruiting for Brotherhood groups operating in the U.S. If aggressively enforced, the law would go a long way toward shutting down the subversive infrastructure the Egypt-based Brotherhood has spent the past 40 years building in America.
The Obama administration does not support such action, because it views the Brotherhood as a nonviolent political group and has engaged its leaders at home and abroad.

White House officials held talks with representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood in Washington this week, as the Islamist group threw itself into the fray in Egypt’s presidential election.
The meeting on Tuesday with low-level National Security Council staff was part of a series of US efforts to broaden engagement with new and emerging political parties following Egypt’s revolution last year, a US official said.
The White House pointed out that Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain, and other US lawmakers and officials had also met with Brotherhood representatives in Egypt and elsewhere in recent months.
“We believe that it is in the interest of the United States to engage with all parties that are committed to democratic principles, especially nonviolence,” said National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor.
“In all our conversations with these groups, we emphasize the importance of respect for minority rights, the full inclusion of women, and our regional security concerns.”
But former FBI agent John Guandolo, who helped draft the anti-Brotherhood bill, said the administration’s view is ill-informed.
The bureau’s foremost expert on the Brotherhood network, Guandolo helped uncover a Brotherhood conspiracy to overthrow the United States by “civilization jihad” following a raid on a suspected terrorist’s home in Northern Virginia.
Author of “Raising a Jihadi Generation: Understanding the Muslim Brotherhood Movement in America,” the veteran agent warns that “America faces an insurgency inside our homeland” from the Brotherhood.
“This is an enemy who is cunning, patient, well-supported and well-organized,” he said.

Having recently given safe haven to the leadership of Muslim Brotherhood terrorists exiled from Qatar, Turkey’s President Erdogan delivered a speech at the United Nations in defense of the Sunni extremists ISIS and The Brotherhood – while simultaneously attacking Egypt and Fattah El-Sisi.
Let there be no doubt the NATO member Turkey is not only willing to stand on the sidelines, but is, in actuality, supporting the Sunni extremists with direct support (financial and military).
Erdogan is also supporting with non-action, such as refusing to allow coalition forces to use NATO bases in Turkey. The reasoning is not complex Erdogan is supporting his ideological ally ISIS against his arch nemesis, Syria’s Bashir Assad.
To deflect attention away from his actual support of ISIS Erdogan chooses another target for his attack.
Defending his friend, jailed and former Egyptian President – Muslim Brotherhood leader – Mohammed Morsi, President Erdogan removed the sheep’s cloak, yet most of the western media avoid peering into the dark eyes of the wolf laying underneath.
Perhaps the media avoid because it is too brutal a reality to admit, or perhaps because Western media suffers from a severe case of willful blindness, you will find few news outlets actually getting to the heart of the reasoning for Turkey’s unwillingness to support the removal of The Islamic State of Iraq and Syrian, ISIS.
Erdogan supports the overall ISIS objective. President Erdogan hates Bashir Assad beyond all else; and the Sunni ISIS methods, while concerning, are, in his mind, effective.
Desperate to retain the ideological bond to both ISIS and ‘The Brotherhood’ Recep Erdogan chooses instead to direct his attacks against Egypt and Fattah El-Sisi.
“Again, those objecting (to) the murders in Iraq, Syria and the murder of democracy in Egypt are subjected to certain unfair and groundless accusations and almost immediately accused of supporting terrorism,” said Erdogan.
“The United Nations as well as the democratic countries have done nothing but watch the events such as overthrowing the elected president in Egypt and the killings of thousands of innocent people who want to defend their choice. And the person who carried out this coup is being legitimized.” (link)
In an interesting development following Erdogan’s U.N. disparagements, the Arab partners who form President Obama’s coalition: Jordan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar, pushed back against Turkey’s Sunni advocate for terrorism:
“We were surprised by the statement of President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, regarding the Arab Republic of Egypt and his exploitation of the of the U.N. platform” to attack Egypt, the Foreign Ministry of the UAE stated. (link)
President Obama, on the other hand, was silent.
Accepting what lay afore us. It appears, and was expected, that Obama is further evidencing his ideological alliances. The five Arab partners are useful for Obama’s domestic political shield, against opinion/optics of Obama as a mid-east war monger, but Obama’s friendship and ideological alignment with Recep Erdogan is far more important.
Both President Obama and President Erdogan are Sunni apologists. (Remember, according to Obama, “ISIS is not Islamic”).
Like Erdogan, President Obama instead points his finger at El-Sisi to share his contempt and concern about the Muslim Brotherhood, and Qatari financed, al-Jazeera reporters being jailed for actively working against the State of Egypt.

President Barack Obama Thursday raised the fate of jailed journalists in Egypt and his concerns over political repression in his first meeting with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, US officials said.
Obama and Sisi met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, as Washington and Cairo gingerly seek common ground after a period of turmoil sparked by the toppling by Sisi, a former army chief, of Egypt’s first elected president, Islamist Mohamed Morsi, last year.
[…] “The president expressed his view that those journalists should be released.”
Washington has frequently raised the plight of three Al-Jazeera journalists jailed by Egypt after being accused of ties with Islamists.
Australian Peter Greste, Egyptian-Canadian Mohamed Fadel Fahmy and Egyptian producer Baher Mohamed were convicted in June of aiding the blacklisted Muslim Brotherhood. (link)
In the interests of both frank discussion and brutal honesty, the term “journalists” can authentically be replaced with the word “Muslim Brotherhood” activists.
Al Jazeera is a Qatari owned media outlet who, until very recently, had openly supported the Muslim Brotherhood/ISIS and provided both with money and material support for their terrorist activity.
ADDITIONAL CONTEXT – Put another way, President Obama is pointing admonitions toward Egypt’s El-Sisi for doing (two years ago) the exact same thing the U.K.’s Prime Minister David Cameron did just this week with British cleric Anjem Choudary.
It was only after the Six Gulf Arab States began pressure upon Qatar – the Qatari government had a change of course away from supporting the extremists.
Yet interestingly President Obama and John Kerry had, and have, no issues with using Qatar for a variety of causes including the caretaking and hospitality of the GITMO 5.
Erdogan has publically slipped his cover…..
